[an edit of one of my favorite musical compositions.

at big b’s in las vegas, years ago, golden and i found ourselves looking through the racks, me certainly absentmindedly, and it was what we did nearly weekly.  and this one time i asked her what she liked that she thought i might like and she handed me f#a#[infinity] by godspeed you! black emperor.

the beauty of godspeed you! black emperor for me is how each of their releases feels like an entire record, full of movement and longing and aching and, ultimately, hope.

you’ve probably heard this track before.  even if it it’s for the first time.
