[i’m a bit awkward.  bit introverted.  maybe a bit off, frankly.  but that’s okay.  i think a problem in life is trying to control everything.  some things just are and do not need fixing.  i mean, sure i just said i think i’m maybe a bit off, but, i’m okay with that.

recently, had a few conversations with folk who began their spiel with “you should…” when i wasn’t asking for an opinion.  i wasn’t asking for advice.  really, i just wanted to be heard.  but, oh well, everyone has input regardless of how unwanted it might be.

a week ago, went on a date that ended…horribly: we both ended up in the back of a police car, handcuffed, on our way to city jail.  and although nearly all of that fallout’s done with, one of the things i can remember thinking while in that ridiculous situation is, “this is why i’d rather be on my own.”  because things happen: unwanted advice or a trip to jail.
